Windows 10: How can I fix my clipboard?

For the past couple weeks whenever I try to open my clipboard, it just has a clear box pop up appears above/below any box I have selected that can be used to type in, otherwise it defaults to the bottom right corner and whenever I hover my mouse over it, it makes my mouse turn into the "loading" mouse. Even trying to close it, it takes about 30 seconds to disappear after I click off of it. How do I fix this? Clipboard settings ARE turned on.

Thank you, The first suggestion worked. The second did also provided I did not click in the Paint window first.

I'd spent some time trying to work it out for myself but was fooled by the clipboard window always closing prematurely. So thanks again.

How do I fix repeated "Open Clipboard Failed" message.

When doing macro in wordperfect2021 (and other versions) I keep have a failure with the following message "Open Clipboard failed".
How do I fix this?

I have tried the following:

• Shutting down the program and restarting
  
• Shutting Down the computer and restarting
  
• Clearing the clipboard history
  
• various combinations of all of the above

I just downloaded clipboard to my windows 10 desktop computer. I took a screenshot and opened clipboard but can't figure out how to view it. Is there a step by step tutorial on how to use clipboard? There are only two settings with no directions on how
to use them. I thought if I save something to clipboard it would be there when I opened the app as it was in windows 7 and XP. All I am getting is a black and orange screen with a clipboard in the middle. I don't want to share I just want to open what I've
copied to it.......
