Windows 10: How can I fix .NET Framework being disabled

Since I have updated my Windows 10 PC to the May update (Cumulative Update), Microsoft .NET Framework packages have been completly disabled, I have tried these solutions to try and re-enable them but so far no luck at all.


- Control Panel - Windows Features - I tried enabling them, got the message that windows had completed the changes, but when you recheck it hasnt been.


- Command Prompts - Using DISM and other solutions i found on MS forums elsewhere, none were able to re-enable these features


- Manually Installing .NET Framework Packages - wouldnt work due to windows installing .NET Framework 4.8 in the latest update, however its disabled.


- Reinstalling Updates - I Tried reinstalling, even reverting back an update or two, this did not fix the issue.


The problems I am having due to this is half of the apps on my desktop pc will no longer run, such as Discord, MS Visual Studio Code/Community Edition (I use both for different projects), as well as half of my downloaded games no longer work, I have tried resolving this with many numerous solutions, but to no avail, if anyone else has found a way to fix please let me know asap

I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

Try the following steps:

• Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
• Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
• Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer
• Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
• Restart the computer.

no, problem is still actual for me.

have MSI Notebook, problem is

System.MissingFieldException: Field not found: 'WPFOSD.GraphicsSwitchWnd.VGAType'.

at MSI.SCM.SCMII.WMIEventMath(Int32 WMIEvent), after i make something by S-BAR buttons like adding volume or something like that.

My PC is not a workstation, nor it is a client to one. It is not on a WAN or in some local homegroup, remote access services are also disabled. So..

Do i really need those IIS?

NET Framework 3.5.1 - since i have installed NET Framework 4.5.2, can i disable NET Framework 3.5.1 or is it a must feature, without which the 4.5.2 will not work?

Windows update installed all the 4.5.2 NET Framework updates, but i did not select any 3.5.1 updates - should i install them (if i keep the 3.5.1 NET Framework in my Windows services).
