Windows 10: How Can I Fix the Typing Lag Issue on My Laptop?

When I start my laptop ASUS Vivobook S14 AMD Ryzen 9, typing functions normally without any problems. However, after using it for a while, a noticeable typing lag appears. Specifically, when I press and hold any key, it types continuously for a few moments, pauses briefly, resumes, and then repeats this pattern. This issue occurs across multiple applications and has been happening for a month since I bought the laptop. I’ve attempted several fixes, including updating the keyboard driver, disabling filter keys, and trying various online solutions, but nothing has resolved the problem so far.

Keyboard lag while typing on brand new laptop

I downloaded the program that you suggested and I ran it. It showed me a list of drivers that I had to update. Since the program wasn't free I had to update them through device manager. Once I updated all of the drivers, I restarted the computer and tested
if the typing issue was resolved.

Unfortunately, it still continues to lag while typing.

 

Windows 11 laptop keyboard stutter lag typing

My new laptop came with windows 11 and I have issue typing since day one. The keyboard stutters, typing has lag, so its never easy to type a even a password. All my peripheral devices like keyboard, mouse, display monitors work fine with other windows laptops with windows 10 and even they work with the Macbook. When I use them with this laptop the problem begins. I tried pretty much everything suggested in different blogs and microsoft help pages with no luck.

Please help fixing this issue. This is the very basic of using a computer is to be able to type. I have spent several days working on it with no luck. Please help.

 

How to fix Plug in laptop cause lag

Sorry if I confused you. Let me clarify it step by step:

1-Put battery on the laptop and pulg in the charger. if it lags it means that the issue is from the charger.

2-Remove the battery and plug in the charger. if it lags without battery, be assuerd that the issue is from the charger.

3-Remove the battery and plug in the charger. if it doesnt lag without battery, is means that the issue is from the battery.
