Windows 10: How can i fix Xbox app and Microsoft Store downloads? error code: 0x80070490

Hello, Every time I'm trying to open Xbox app this error shows and the app doesn't open. Also a lot of games which i spent money on like Sea of Thieves and Minecraft show this code while I'm trying to install them from Microsoft Store.I have tried a lot of solutions like scans in CMD and doing stuff that might be helpful on PowerShell, none of them worked and PowerShell even showed this while I tried to fix the problem of downloading Sea of Thieves in the inserted image. I bought this laptop before about 3 months and I can't understand why expensive computer like that has so many problems on

Microsoft store app upgrade error 0x80070490


I noticed some apps that needed updating on my tablet, so I clicked on the store icon expecting it to upgrade to the Microsoft store, but I get this: Well this is embarrassing. Followed by this error 0x80070490.

No problems upgrading it on my laptop. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Error 0x80070490 when trying to install games from Xbox PC app

I have the PC Xbox app and previously it was working normally, but recently whenever I try to install anything it stops immediately with error code 0x80070490. I have tried all the steps on the troubleshooting page (restart, update everything, reinstall the gaming services). Windows Update and the Microsoft store seem to be behaving normally, it's just the Xbox app specifically that's giving me trouble. I contacted Xbox support and we tried a few additional troubleshooting steps, but I'm still having the same problem so they sent me here.

If you received this error code 0x80048504, there could be an issue with the Xbox live server, your network connection, or with the account itself. For us to resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

Step 1: Run the troubleshooter for Windows Apps

Please click this link. This process will check and resolve common issues with the apps on your PC.



Step 2: Reset the Windows Store to clear the Store cache.

• Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.   
• Click on Command prompt (Admin). 
  
• Type wsreset.exe and then hit Enter. 

Step 3: Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox App to update it.

• Click Start and type Windows PowerShell on the search box.
• Right-click and then select Run as administrator.
• Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage.
• Hit Enter. 
• Launch Windows Store and download the Xbox App.
