    No sound from speakers/headphones

    Disconnect the front panel headphone/mic jacks from the motherboard and then see if the rear panel GREEN speaker jack works (either with speakers or headset). This is in case the front panel jack is causing no audio out. Power off the PC before opening and disconnecting the front panel audio.

    The connector for the front panel audio is listed as #21 on the motherboard drawing (below).

    Mute sound from speaker after unplugging Headphones

    I have performed the steps you mentioned above but the output is still Realtek High Definition Audio (Speaker/Headphone) option only. I assume this Realtek High Definition Audio (Speaker/Headphone) driver combines both Speaker and Headphones sound output in one driver and one cannot separate and configure speaker and headphone sound output individually. Is there a driver or drivers that I can download for just speaker and another for just headphones so that I can configure each separately or is my conclusion above wrong and there is another workaround? Thanks.
