Windows 10: How can I force Windows 11 to commit a minimum amount of virtual RAM?

First off:I KNOW HOW TO CREATE AND ALREADY HAVE ALLOCATED VIRTUAL RAM.Telling me the process to initially create the virtual RAM will not help me. I found another forum where this was an issue another user had, and they were not provided an answer, instead being directed by Microsoft tech support to be assisted by other Windows 11 users in a different forum, rather than a dedicated Microsoft tech support member.I use a laptop that has incompatible parts with regular computers and cannot physically add more RAM sticks to my laptop; however, I was able to add a D: Drive with nearly 500 GB of spa

I have committed 5.7 GB RAM but only 4 GB is usable. Why?

Your screenshot indicates no problem with your installed RAM, committed RAM includes virtual memory on your hard drive, the reason you see that is you have the bare minimum RAM required for Windows 11, to resolve that the only way would be to upgrade your RAM to 8GB, that would minimize the amount of time Windows is using virtual memory on your drive.

The minimum requirement for RAM in Windows 10 are officially :

1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit

However I suggest you a minimum of:

2 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 4 GB for 64-bit

 

VM's Don't Over commit RAM ( set Dynamic RAM on HYPER-V)

Careful setting the startup value higher than minimum also Kari. It may not boot at all if you have insufficient avaliable RAM on your system. Generally you should set the startup to the minimum.
