  1. How can I get a "Disc Image Tools" menu in Explorer?

Yesterday I was on my client's Windows 10 PC.
In Explorer, I selected a .VHD file, call it MyVirtualDisk.VHD.
And ... a "Disc Image Tools" thing popped up at the top. I then right-clicked and saw Mount.
I was thrilled. I click Mount and it worked as desired.

    Then I came home.

At home, on MY Windows 10 machine, I did the same: I selected a .VHD file and nothing happened.
Interestingly though: When I select a .EXE file, "Application Tools" appears.
So .... what do I do to get the "Disc Image Tools" behavior that I saw on my client's Win-10 PC?

    :)

Check whether you have similar options on your phone as on my Nokia 5800xm..

Highlight the photo you want to move.. Options-->Folder options-->Move to folder.. and select..

  3. N79; can't run " home media " menu

    sawatdee krap,

maybe because you havent set any connections for "home media". i think it needs to connect with your computer. you also need to install SimpleCenter's Home Media Server software on your PC

maybe this will help you -

  5. Thanks.
BTW - and for other members:
This is a brand new installation of Windows 10. I never messed with these Context Menus.
This suggests to me that the default is NO MOUNT.
However, my client's machine would, I expect, also have defaults - so that's a little mysterious to me.
    No big deal.
I now have a way to control it.
    Thanks

    You're most welcome. *Smile

If you changed the default program to open VHD files with, then it would have removed Mount.

  7. Well. I marked this thread "Closed" just assuming it would work.
And it didn't work. So I must have done sumthin dumb.
The behavior after updating the registry is identical to the behavior before. Nothing when I highlight a .VHD file on my Win10 PC.
I will review my steps to see where I could have gone wrong -but it didn't work for me.
    Thanks

  9. In Default programs -> Set Associations, the current default for VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) programs is "Unknown application".
Could that be the problem? What approach can I take to fix it?

You could merge the .reg file for VHD posted above to reset it back to default. If it helps, then you or something has changed the association or its registry entries.

  11. I've given up on this for now.
    Doesn't seem to work.
I will see what I can learn by visiting the site where it does work.
