  1. How can I get a make path?

Hi! I am learning the programming language C.I cannot use "make" on VS code. I keep getting the error message, "make : The term 'make' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. At line:1 char:1".I've tried looking at other answers on the web but none of them work. I even tried to get AI to help me but that didn't work either. Step by step instructions would be great!

    :)

  3. Add a path to $PATH?

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

    Thanks for the reply.
