How can I get back the Menu Bar in Windows File Explorer? It was removed in a previous Windows 11 update. The Menu Bar has been a feature of Windows File Explorer previously known as File Manager in the original 16-bit versions of Windows since I started using Windows 3.0 on my Chicony 386SX20 notebook computer in 1988, and I have used every version of Windows ever since. The Menu Bar is a staple of my Windows usage, and its removal has severely compromised my Microsoft Windows experience. Remove menus from explorer

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is currently no setting, method or registry hack to remove that oversized menu bar from the new File Explorer app.

The best option may be to open the Feedback Hub (Windows Key + F) and suggest to their developers they provide an option to hide that menu bar.

This is for Windows 10 - Enterprise

We tried the 2 steps below.

1- This will work for the FullPath, but not FullPathAddress

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState

FullPath and FullpathAddress

0 = display name

1 = display full path

2- no luck with this one too.

We tried the Offset trick 0018 from this article Explorer Menu Bar removal
