    How can I get games to install onto my secondary HDD from the windows store and xbox app...


    I wanted to install the new flight simulator but I don't have enough space on my SSD which is my primary. My HDD used to be my old primary before I got the SSD but now I just use it as the secondary drive. But when I go into settings to change the default app install location to my HDD it tells me that it has apps from another device on it and I will have to delete them. I click yes then an error pops up with the code 0x80070005. I saw a few questions similar to this on this site as well as other forums but none of the solutions I have found have worked. I was hoping that I would be able to solve it here. I would rather not delete everything on my HDD if possible since there is 1.5 TB of stuff on there and would take a while to put back on. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Lomavista,

    Please answer these questions to assist you better.

    • Do you get any error message?
    • Which apps are you referring to?

    Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    Step 1: Install all app updates from Windows Store.

    Check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store

    Step 2: I suggest you to download and run the app troubleshooter from the below link and check if it helps.

    Run the Windows App Troubleshooter

    Do let us know if you are able to use all apps from secondary drive. Thank you.
