Windows 10: How can i get laptop back to Vista?

Windows Vista laptop i have was playing up so i decided to do a factory restore using the recovery disk supplied from Toshiba with it. I did this process about 10 years ago so know cd disc is good & works.I try booting recovery disc from cd drive and discover sometime in last years that it no longer works pxe-61 error. I get loan of an external cd drive, hook up to usb and change bios and retry. Now laptop sees disc and its looking successful until error comes up saying satenv.ini not found. After some browsing i find people saying disc could be faulty so i get sons Toshiba win7 recovery d

Vista Pre-SP1 vs. Vista SP1

I've been Windows Updating for two straight days and I finally saw SP1. If you want to troubleshoot it, follow these steps:

• Show hidden updates
• Manually install any failed updates (google the KB_____ and install from the windows site)
• Make sure everything in Device Manager is good to go

I had to do step two for like 4 or 5 updates to be able to see SP1.

Any other benchmarks you guys want to see? I might try PCMark05 (I think it works on Vista).

hey guys I'm trying to get clockgen to work on my laptop but can't get any of the plls to work, can you please post like exactly what steps I need to take to test each pll to see if it works? my specs are listed to the left
