Windows 10: How can I get max performance, FPS, and minimize lag on my game and laptop?

Whenever I play Roblox, the second the app launches, my laptop's fan gets really really loud, and starts heating up you can keep your hand on the bottom of the laptop without burning yourself, just barely. When I try to move my character in Roblox, it doesn't move immediately like its supposed to, it moves a few seconds after. Sometimes when this happens, I spam click my caps lock button, and the light that shows up when its on is also delayed a few seconds, and turns on a few seconds after I click it, and sometimes when I'm in the middle of my game, this problem appears, and makes the game

hello, im new here, can u answer why does old game lagging (fps drop) on old laptop

i have downloaded and test many games on my laptop, here is the list:

CS 1.6=max 120fps min 30-20fps,average 60fps (dxd render)

Hot Wheels:Beat that=max 30fps,min 2 fps averge 10fps

Battlefield 1942=max 60fps, min 15 fps, average 30 fps

Terraria=max 42fps min 10 fps, average 20fps

idk why my pc so lagging, this is my spec:

Dual os win 7 and win xp

ram 3gb

intel atom n330 1.6ghz

sis mirage 3 256mb

games play in awful fps if plugged in is set to max performance

So i had this problem for a long while and couldn't find any solution. So my graphics card runs games really poorly when plugged in because its set on max performance but if i change it to max battery life the lagging and fps drops stop. What causes this and how can i fix it?
