Windows 10: How can I get 'move' function in Win 11 like in Win 10 File Explorer?

The Win 10 setup was fantastic, I don't like the way Win 11 is setup. I have the latest updates installed. If I could just get that setup back Win 10 navigation then that'd be great, but for now I'm wrestling with this new laptop trying to get the basic 'move' function restored at the least. I've gone back and forth with the Copilot, however it is not very helpful. It is suggesting I check the 'ribbon' by clicking on the 'arrow' near the 'X' but that doesn't exist. It told me to check the options in File Explorer and make sure it displays the ribbon... It gave me the wrong directions to fin

Network between Win 10 and Win 11 computers

I had 2 Win 10 computers that talked to each other fine. Through Windows Explorer I was able to see and manipulate files one the other.

Now that one of the computers is Win 11, I can't see the other either direction. The target folders are all shared with full control permission.

When Win 11 looks for Win 10 I get a "can't access location" error. When Win 10 looks for Win 11, I get a log I'm requirement looking for ID an PW. (FWIW, my Win 11 computer makes me enter a PIN when I log in. I'd love to bypass that but can't figure how.)

Also FWIW, I've shut off firewall to see if Win 11 can reach Win 10 but still "can't access".

So this is what worked, step by step.

Reboot

Drive is listed as E: in file explorer.

Drive not listed in Disk Management.

Insert DVD, it plays after short pause.

Disk management now shows Audio CD as E:

Right click, change letter to R: (while playing!)

Reboot.

Drive now shows as BD-RE drive as R: in File Explorer.

The bottom line is

- File Explorer does not provide for changing drive letter afics.

- Disk Management seems to need a disk to be in the drive for it to "see" the drive. I can't recall is this is Win 10 behaviour

I don't recall having any difficulty with this in Win 10 (its possible that the Win 10 default drive allocation was "after" my external drives; or I "just changed it").
