  2. Computer Freezes Then Blue Screen

    Hello,

A stop error (also called a "blue screen" error) can occur if a problem causes your PC to shut down or restart unexpectedly. These errors can be caused by both hardware and software issues.

For us to better assist you, we'd like to know the following:

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
    • What is the make and model of your device?

Meanwhile, we suggest performing the steps on this article
on how to troubleshoot blue screen errors on Windows 10.

We look forward to your response.

    Regards.

my teacher's computer is stuck in a restart loop

hey my teacher/coach's school computer (dell optiplex gx150) is stuck in a restart loop. When it boots up it will make it to the windows os load screen and then restart. i already tried all the settings in the F5 menu and none of them worked it just restarts again.

p.s. I also see a blue screen flash on and off the screen b4 it shuts itself down and starts again.

i need some major help on how to diagnose and fix the problem.

Restart Loop and blue screen after update.

Earlier today i let windows update a scheduled update. It took around and hour and a half before it was 'finished', and now the computer is in a continuous loop of rebooting. The first times I interacted with it I got a blue screen where I could select my
keyboard language, and when I did that some other options came. They were in danish, but (traslated) the ones i remember are:

    • Continue with windows rollback.
    • Use different system. (then i was able to choose between windows rollback (default) and two others that both were labeled as disc 4 and said they had windows 10 on them)
    • Troubleshoot. Inside the troubleshoot menu there were 6 options:
    • System restore.
    • System image recovery
    • Startup repair
    • commando prompt
    • UEFI settings
    • and go back to previous settings
I tried the first 3 options as well as the last, and nothing worked. The instructions i have found on the web tell me that instead of the UEFI settings there should be one called startup settings. And that was the one I needed according to the help I found
    online.

    • Shut down computer.
There was one more option between Windows rollback and use different system, but i didn't remember what it was.

After trying some of the guides I had found online, my computer would no longer reach the blue screen with keyboard language, and instead just restart endlessly (unless I force it to shut off)

The guides I found were these:

How to Enter Safe Mode to Fix Windows 10 Boot Loop/Blue Screen/Black Screen | Driver Talent

    https://www.howtogeek.com/131916/ho...artup-options-to-fix-your-windows-8-computer/

How to boot into Windows 10's Safe Mode | PCWorld

Fix: Boot Loop after the Windows 10 Creators Update | Driver Talent

I hope this is enough information to assist me.

    Thanks in advance

    [Edit]:

A couple of times I got to the Automatic repair screen, but it did not have the options that were present in the guide.
