Windows 10: How can I get my headset to pick up my voice via my Xbox one controller on my PC

My headset will not pick up my voice when it is plugged into my Xbox One controller while I am gaming on my PC. I used to use an Astro PS4 controller with my headset for gaming and it would play audio and pick up my voice, so I know the headset I use isn't the problem. I swapped it out for a regular Xbox One controller after it wore out, and now my friends can't hear me talk. I can't use my PC's headphone jack as an alternative as it is broken. Using Windows 10.


So, how can I get my headset to pick up my voice when it is plugged into my Xbox One controller when it is connected to my PC either wired or wireless, doesn't matter to me, I just want it to work

Windows 10! Xbox One Mic plugged into xbox one wired controller plugged to PC. Not picking voice.

I plugged my wired xbox one controller to my windows 10. It works but when i plug my mic into the controller that is still plugged into my pc, doesnt work. My voice doesnt pick up. Im using a Xbox one stereo Headset. My Mic plug for Pc doesn't work very
well.

I need help getting my mic to pick up my voice.

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

Xbox Controller Headset Adapter on PC - Microphone Crash

Hi all

Firstly, i want to say that i have tried this using an older Xbox Controller with the headset adapter, as well as using a new Xbox Controller with an aux input. I downloaded the Xbox Accessories app and have updated all the firmware and drivers too.

So heres the scenario and issue.

Scenario:

Im looking to play couch games on my PC in another room. I have an 10m Active USB running from the PC to where i want to play games. The Xbox controller works perfectly fine over the 10m Active USB. I want to use my headset (HyperX Cloud 2) with the controller
for audio + voice chat over Discord etc.

Problem:

When connecting the headset to the xbox controller headset adapter OR xbox controller aux input, Windows recognises the Audio output driver and microphone. The audio output works fine but the microphone crashes after about 3 seconds and stopped working.

Interestingly:

Tested it with a regular cable - both speaker audio and microphone working fine.

Any ideas on how to get the microphone to stop crashing?

TLDR: Headset microphone stops working after 3 seconds when plugged into xbox xbox controller on Windows 10. Headset audio continues to work fine. Connected to PC via 10m active USB
