Windows 10: How can I get my internet running on brand new pc?

Hello, I recently finished building a new pc but I have ran into some problems. First, I cannot connect to the internet. I’ve heard you need to download windows onto your motherboard first with a usb. But I cannot do that because when I try to transfer and run the installation on a user account mind you I can’t sign into my main account because the PIN has changed due to a security reason I have to type in my PIN on my main account to start the install because it is an admin account. But I need internet so I can reset the PIN. I am so lost

1. Which web browser are you using?

2. Have installed all the Windows updates?

3. Have you updated all the divers?

If you’re using internet Explorer I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer performance. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Internet Explorer performance.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter.

BRAND NEW HP PC RUNNING SLOW

Just purchased a brand new HP with more memory than old HP, but computer runs slower than expected, freezes constantly during online FB games and typing responses in messenger. I am constantly having to use task manager to close the browsers. I an
very novice when it comes to these issues, so any step by step fixes would be helpful.

Hello, I'm Louie, and I'm happy to help you today. Hope you're doing well and safe there. I'm sorry that you're having trouble with your network connection.

I would suggest first you to turn off your modem/router and leave it off for just a minute then turn it back on and check if fixes the issue

If steps above didn't work you may run network troubleshooter, use these steps:

Press Windows + I to launch the Settings app.

Click on Troubleshoot on the right in the System tab.

Now, click on Other troubleshooters.

Click on Run next to Internet connections to launch the troubleshooter.

Choose the appropriate response, if and when prompted, to complete the troubleshooting process.

If troubleshooter didn't fix the issue, try to turn off metered connections.

Press Windows + I to launch the Settings.

Select Network & internet from the list of tabs in the navigation pane on the left.

Click on Wi-Fi or Ethernet depending on the network type.

Click on the network that you are connected to.

Disable the toggle for Metered connection.

Disable apps from running in the background:

Press Windows + I to launch the Settings app.

Select Apps from the list of tabs in the navigation pane on the left.

Click on Installed apps on the right.

Locate the app that you don’t want running in the background, click on the ellipsis next to it and select Advanced options from the menu that appears.

Next, click on the Let this app run in the background dropdown menu.

Select Never from the list of options.

You may also try to Change DNS server.

Press Windows + R to launch the Run command.

Enter appwiz.cpl in the text field and either click on OK or hit Enter to launch the Network Connections window.

Right-click on the connected network adapter, and select Properties from the context menu.

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) from the list of options and click on Properties.

Tick the checkbox for Use the following DNS server addresses.

Enter the following the respective fields and click on OK to save the changes:

Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8

Alternative DNS server: 8.8.4.4

After making the changes, restart the computer.
