Windows 10: How Can I Get Rid of a Duplicate User Profile Fonder? Very Strange.

Hi,I'm not exactly sure how to explain this, but here goes. I was doing some routine maintenance on my wife's computer and noticed that her desktop has a folder labeled with her name and is a duplicate of the folder found in This PC > Windows 10 C: > Users.I don't know how this could have happened, but they seem to be linked together. I can't rename either of them because I get a message something to the effect that they are subfolders of higher system folders.This got me nervous about deleting the desktop folder, so I opened both folders in separate windows and selected the Favorites

If the user profiles stopped duplicating after you stopped using that software, then that might be the issue. Another possibility is a virus has infected the computer and created those multiple profiles. While waiting for the response from the developers, I
suggest that you post this issue in TechNet.

The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded.

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?
