Windows 10: How can I get Surface book to stop thinking it is in tablet mode when attached to keyboard?

How can I stop my cursor and keyboard from freezing up. My surface book seems to think it is in tablet mode when it is attached to keyboard? It happens randomly when I move.

Switching to tablet mode in Surface Book

I want my Surface Book to switch to tablet mode whenever I take it off the keyboard and I have set it to do so automatically. However, sometimes it will be connected to the keyboard and randomly switch to the tablet mode. I haven't found anything specific
that triggers this it seems to happen at random times. It is really just a nuisance but I would like to know if there is anything I can do to resolve this issue.

 

don't see keyboard in tablet mode on surface book

I just bought Surface Book and have the strange problem. When I detach keyboard and use it in tablet mode and try to print something in text field, virtual keyboard appears only in some applications. For example it works in Edge/Bing and Skype, but doesn't work in Chrome/Google and many other applications.

Of course I can use accessibility keyboard option, but it's just workaround.

Is it some known issue or it can be fixed (maybe some hidden settings)?

UPDATE: Virtual keyboard works only for Microsoft's products, in all other applications it doesn't show up.

Update2: It works for any tablet Apps, but for desktop applications it depends, for example:

1. Edge - yes
   
2. Chrome - no
   
3. Google Hangout - no
   
4. Notepad++ - no
   
5. Visual Studio - sometimes yes, sometimes not
   
6. Excel - yes
   
7. Word - no
   
8. Skype - yes
   

Update3: After many updates it looks like it's working now.

 

No virtual keyboard in tablet mode with a physical keyboard attached

Clean installs of Windows 10 on either a Surface w/Keyboard or an Ultrabook (doesn't matter what kind test this in a store with multiple Surfaces or Ultrabooks same thing on all devices). When you place the device in tablet mode the virtual keyboard is
not available which makes the device completely useless. This is not a device or corrupt Windows install this is a clean install of Windows 10 and appears to be a design bug or flaw so reinstalling windows does not fix the issue. It is not related to a
certain device either as this can be replicated on several different machine types as long as they have a physical keyboard attached. On a surface if you remove the physical keyboard and put it in tablet mode the virtual keyboard appears but if you leave
it connected you cannot work in tablet mode. Is there a Windows 10 patch to fix this issue?
