Windows 10: How can I get the correctly purchased version of Windows 11 and activate it?

I had Windows 11 Home installed on my new laptop OEM, and went onto the Windows store and selected to purchase the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. I received an email receipt for the upgrade, but on completing the install, I found that I now have Windows 11 Enterprise! Additionally, I never received an email with any kind of activation code, and now my system says it cannot activate windows. How do I fix this issue? I would like to put Pro on my system, and also have it properly activated.

I recently updated the BIOS on my MSI motherboard. After I did that, my Windows Activation went away, and I have the notification to Activate Windows in the lower right corner of my screen. I just purchased this version of Windows from the MS Store, and I can find the receipt as well as the purchase in my Order list. How do I go about getting this copy of Windows 11 activated again?

Build 10240 - Any expiry on ACTIVATED versions??

I was going to do that for my benefit because of the way I have my partitions setup and to be legal with the EULA that isn't a step by step instruction. Right now I am waiting to see if build 10240 is actually the release build and yes I know at lot of people don't believe 10240 is the release version. I still may need to do that if build 10240 is not the release version.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
