Windows 10: How can I get the exe file of OneNote for windows 10? (Or any other app from the windows store)

Hey guys,

I need to use "run programs made for previous versions of windows" On OneNote for windows 10. I just need to.

It does not show up in the list. So I need to manually get the path or browse and select the exe file

Sounds like not so big of a deal, but Microsoft store apps are horribly hard to find the exe file for.

Anyway I'm about to kidnap bill gates, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of god, I've been trying to find the god dam exe file for hours, HOW DO I RUN THIS TROUBLESHOOTER ON ONENOTE?

It's not on the list.
The only other way is a straight path to the exe file or browsing to it

I talked to people who know windows 10, I broke the defense of windowsapps to try and find the file there, asked for help on Microsoft forum, please someone save me. PLEASE.

I don't know anything anymore. All I know is I want to run the onenote app with run programs made for previous versions of windows as it fixes the display res problem I have with my programs, It's really the only way and it works great really it fixes it but windows app store's apps, mainly onenote as I don't really use any others, are the problem.

There is no way around this, I have to run this troubleshooter on it, but how?

Microsoft Windows Home Server Corrupts Files

Microsoft has warned Windows Home Server users not to edit files stored on their backup systems with several of its programs, including Vista Photo Gallery and Office's OneNote and Outlook, as well as files generated by popular finance software such as Quicken and QuickBooks. "When you use certain programs to edit files on a home computer that uses Windows Home Server, the files may become corrupted when you save them to the home server," Microsoft said in a support document posted last week. The document went on to list the software, which includes Windows Vista Photo Gallery, Windows Live Photo Gallery, OneNote 2003, OneNote 2007, Outlook 2007, Microsoft Money 2007 and SyncToy 2.0 Beta. Others programs, however, may also corrupt files stored on a home server powered by Microsoft's operating system. "Additionally, there have been customer reports of issues with Torrent applications, with Intuit Quicken and with QuickBooks program files," the document said. "Until an update for Windows Home Server is available, we recommend that [you] do not use the programs that are listed to save or to edit program-specific files that are stored on a Windows Home Server-based system."
