Windows 10: How can I get the keyboard shortcut WIN+PrtScr to append the date to the file saved in...

I have OneDrive set to save my screenshots to OneDrive. When I use the keyboard shortcut WIN+SHIFT+S, I can define the screen shot area crosshairs appear so I can drag to define the desired area; a custom screen shot that includes the date is saved on the Windows Clipboard and is saved as a *.png file to my OneDrive folder on my PC: D:\OneDrive\PICTURES\Screenshots. Note that the file name "Screenshot" IS followed by the screenshot date.When I use the keyboard shortcut WIN+PrtScn, Windows takes a shot of the entire screen, saves the entire screen to the Windows Clip

Greetings @Try3 Thanks for your reply. Yep, that is also important for me to keep the proper numbering scheme, because I need to take tons of screenshots on work, study etc. Thanks for pointing that out.

maybe I wrote it incorrectly, I was referring to a standart combination LWin (or just Win) and PrtScr button together. The reason I want to use different scheme - I need to put my hand away from mouse to press PrtScr and @in with another hand, and then put my hand back on a mouse, and then put it again on the keyboard - it bothers. For this, I was looking for a solution to take Screenshots with a mouse click. Thanks for your reply.

Another approach - use a 3rd party program where you can set a hot key to do different things. E.g. if you're rt handed, then

- here I've allocated CTRL SHIFT A to whole screen capture - with your left hand. As you can see, there are other possibilities.. OR - you can click on the tray icon....

 

Creating Shortcuts with Batch File

Threw a program together quick for you. It is attached with source in the other. Use it in place of your VBScript.

It supports:
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon index]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon file]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon file] [icon index]

If "icon index" is missing, it assumes 0. If "icon file" is missing it assumes "path to run." It doesn't presently support arguments to be added to the shortcut nor modifying the working directory (always assumes same directory as "path to run").

Requires .NET Framework 4.0 to run. Will run natively on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.
