Windows 10: How can I get the touch keyboard icon to always show up in the taskbar?

Surface Pro 7+, no keyboard. Windows 11 all updates current.Taskbar normally looks like thisNo keyboard IconTo get to the keyboard icon, I have to drag up from the bottom of the screen tp expand the taskbar like thisNow I can see the keyboard icon, but the process of dragging up from the bottom opens a bunch of other stuff and moves the focus away from the place I want to enter text. I find this to be infuriating. Any way to make it so I can always select the keyboard?

How to fix emoji keyboard not showing up using shortcut

Hi,

This issue is often caused by a corrupted or missing data file. To better isolate if this is a user profile specific or an emerging issue, we suggest that you create a new user profile and try to use the same keyboard shortcut to get the emoji keyboard to
show up. Here's the link for the steps on how to:
Set up accounts.

In the meantime, we'll give you the steps for a workaround to access the emojis. Here are the steps:

• Right-click on the Taskbar.
• Select the Show touch keyboard button option and a keyboard icon will show up on your
  Taskbar.
  
• Click the keyboard icon and select the emoji button.

Add the Touch Keyboard Icon to the Action Center

Adding the touch keyboard on the items in Action Center is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can change the settings to automatically show the touch keyboard when you use the device in tablet mode. If you'd like to do this, you can
follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Go to Typing.
• Under Touch keyboard settings, switch on Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device.

Permanently Enable Virtual Touch Keyboard in Desktop Mode

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

If you want to enable the Touch keyboard follow the steps

• Right Click on the taskbar
• Click on Show touch keyboard button
• Then you will be able to see the keyboard in the taskbar, whenever it’s required you can just click on the icon on the taskbar.

It is not possible to disable the Auto-hide behavior of touch keyboard in Windows 10, whenever you use
the physical keyboard then it will automatically hides the Touch Keyboard.
