Windows 10: How can I get Win 11 to look more like Win 7 explorer?

I am having a difficult time getting used to the Win 11 explorer. I am using StartAllBack and that has helped make Explorer look a bit like Win7 What I don't understand is this: When I click on a folder to open it does not show in the navigagion pane. How can I get Win 11 to look more like Win 7 explorer? See the attached for a Win 7/11 comparison. Thanks, WV-Mike

Why Win 7 as Vista gets DX 11?

I have DX 11 on my rig running Vista. I know I still need a new ATi 5K card for DX 11, but I don't see the need to buy Win 7 now.

Sure, for quite awhile I pissed at both 32/64 Vista as Win Explorer would lock up at any given time. That has been fixed and now I am happy with Vista. I felt the necessity to upgrade to Vista for DX 10 and the new look. The new look of Win 7 looks like Vista to me. I am happy Vista gets DX 11 as Win 7 doesn't seem a necessity for the gamer in me.

So why spend the $ on Win 7 when that $ can be going towards a sweet ATi 5K card? Or you could spend the $ saved on a copy of MW2. *Roll :roll:

 

Win 10 desktop looks like Win 7, sort of

I upgraded my Win 8.1 computer to Win 10. All is well but desktop looks like Win 7. How to see all those colorful squarish desktop icons that was the default of Win 8?
