How can I get Windows 10 to stop asking me to sign in to Microsoft account?

Every time I open the start menu, there is a badge on my profile icon. When I clock on it, it shows me the options below. I do not want to sign in to a Microsoft account on this computer, and I do not want to be reminded later. What I want is for you to never ask again; I have zero interest in using a Microsoft account, so let me turn this off already, please.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

I appreciate your interest on windows 10.

Before we proceed, I would like you to answer the following question:

    • Do you receive any error message when you try to Switch to Microsoft account?

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

    Method 1

I Suggest you to start the "Microsoft account sign in assistant" service and check if it helps. If its already started then stop it and restart the service. To do so,follow the steps below:

    • Type services in the search bar.
    • Select Microsoft account sign in assistant service.
    • Right click on Microsoft account sign in assistant
and click stop to stop the service.
    • Right click on Microsoft account sign in assistant
again and click restart to start the service.

    Method 2

I suggest you to create a local admin account and then switch to microsoft account and check if it helps:

    Please follow the link below:

Sign in with a Microsoft account instead

Hello Wally, and welcome to Ten Forums. *Smile

It sounds like this is at step 7 in the tutorial below where it's asking you to enter your local account's password one last time.
