Windows 10: How can I have two instances of the same application route their audio to two different...

I'm trying to run the same program twice, with one instance with its audio going to one audio device, and the other to another audio device.I know I can switch audio devices in the "App volume and device preferences" settings, but that changes both instances of the applications audio devices.I also know of CheVolume, but apparently its no longer in bussiness.Also heard of a github program called audio router or something, but because of legal issues it had to disable the routing feature or something, either way it doesn't work.

Multichannel audio interface in/out routing

• What is the make and model of your external audio interface?
• Which routing application are you using?

The configurations of inputs and outputs on any audio interface is dependent on the hardware and its supporting software. Any audio interface with more than 2 inputs and 2 outputs, should ideally give the user an option to map the
Input and Output Config, according to his interest.



I suggest you to go through the user manual provided by your audio interface's manufacturer to know how to set up the control surface.



If it doesn't explain how to configure, I suggest you to get in touch with the audio interface's manufacturer to know how to configure the same.

How to route audio from different applications to separate speaker channels on Windows 11?

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. Allow me to clarify my issue a bit further.



My goal was to simultaneously output audio from two different applications to separate speakers. For example, play music from the left speaker while hearing YouTube video audio from the right speaker.



Unfortunately, the operating system settings do not natively support this functionality out of the box. However, I was able to achieve my objective by using a third-party software called Voice Meeter.



Voice Meeter allows me to route the audio output of individual applications to different audio outputs as desired. Using this program, I can direct the audio from each app to a separate speaker channel.



With Voice Meeter, I managed to solve my issue successfully. I really appreciate your explanations and efforts to help.

Routing and duplicating audio sources

A limitation of the pyaudio package only allows me to intercept microphone audio, which is my intent The router you suggested I already tried, but found it lacked the ability to do as I described, which is both to forward audio to it's normal route, but duplicate that audio and play it on a virtual microphone
