Windows 10: How can I increase Windows performance?

I don't mean fps or anything, I just mean overall responsiveness.I am currently working with a slightly older hp stream.I've already upgraded ram to 8gb, and I've even installed a different os onto an external SSD I had.Since it's only got 32gb emmc, what are some options to also clean up the space for updates?Surprisingly enough with Linux it performs fairly well with optimized settings, but Windows istelf feels overall sluggish.Makes sense because it's got an older Celeron cpu and those aren't meant to do much, but is there much that I can do without third-party tools?
