Windows 10: How can i install Synaptics for my HP?, my original driver has stopped two or more finger...

it's been 2 months when my touchpad's 2 finger gesture stopped working, i cant scroll with two fingers, i cant pinch to zoom or any function that requires more than 1 finger on the touchpad which is quite frustrating when you are used to the 2 finger gesture controls for years and years now. i tried installing synaptics but i was not able to. Would be too much glad if anyone helped to how to resolve the issue or download any touchpad driver like synaptics or any other one. Thanks

Hi,

This issue may occur due to the outdated Synaptic Touchpad
drivers. Try the below steps and check if it helps.

I would suggest you to download and install the latest Synaptic Touchpad drivers from the device manufacturer’s website and uninstall the Synaptic touchpad drivers and re-install the same again.

Note: Make sure you download and save the Touch Pad driver and installed it before uninstalling the same.

To uninstall Synaptic touchpad drivers, follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate Mice and other pointing devices and expand the same.
  
• 
  Right-click the Synaptic driver and select
  Uninstall. (Note: keep the latest installed Synaptic driver)
  
• 
  Restart the computer, if prompted.

Try Uninstalling your device first, restart and then Install again.

Step 1:

• Open device manager by right clicking This PC and select Manage. On the left pane, click the same.
• Under Mouse and pointing devices, right click the synaptics driver and click Uninstall.

Step 2:

Restart when prompted. Remember, Restart!

Step 3:

Install the synaptics driver again using the setup utility provided by the manufacturer

  I suggest you to check if Synaptics driver are installed to the latest version. If the Synaptics touchpad driver isn’t installed, go to the manufacturer’s website and install the latest drivers.
  

• 
  Once installed, type
  Change Mouse Settings in the search bar, change the Search filter to
  Settings to see the Mouse settings entry in search result, and then press enter key to open Mouse Properties dialog.
  
• 
  Switch to the Device Settings tab. Please note that Device Settings tab appears only if the touchpad driver is installed on your PC.
  

• 
  Under Devices, select Synaptics TouchPad and then click
  Settings to open Properties for Synaptics TouchPad.
  

• 
  On the left-side, expand
  MultiFinger Gestures, check Two-Finger Scrolling option and then click Apply button.
  

NOTE: To change the default behaviour of two-finger scrolling, select Two-Finger Scrolling option and then click the Settings icon next to it.
