Windows 10: How can I install Win. 10 on a device with 32GB storage?

I want to try a Linux Distro on the hard drive for a proper comparison on my low spec. device but it seems any one comparable to W10 needs about 20GB to install, so deletion of Win. 10 is a prerequisite; according to "Google Gemini" if I want to go back to Windows then I can use the Media creation tool to create an installer on a Mac only option but it reckoned that 32GB is req'd to install it actual available space after factory reset is about 30GB. So is my aspiration impossible?

I would suggest you to update your storage controller driver.

Method 1: Update Storage Controller Driver

Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Storage Controller.
• Right-click on the Storage controller Driver
  and select Update Driver Software.
• Wait for sometime and check if the issue persists.
• Restart your system.

Method 2: Uninstall and then reinstall Storage Controller driver from the Manufacturer's Website

Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Storage Controller.
• Right-click on the Storage controller Driver
  and select Uninstall.
• Now, go to the Manufacturer's website and download the latest storage controller driver.
• Once the download is complete, double-click and run the setup file to complete installation.
• Restart your system.

I suggest you to update Storage controller drivers and check if it helps.

Steps 1:

  Expand Storage controller.

  Right click on the driver and Update the drivers.
  

Steps 2: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with device. Refer these steps:

  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

My PC storage is 32GB what os is best for me

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

On a device with a 32GB NVMe soldered to the motherboard the best option is to clean install the 32bit version of Windows 10, that will give you an extra 8GB - 10GB of storage on the SSD.

Laptop manufacturers should not be producing devices with 32GB, the bare minimum for the 64bit version of Windows 10 is 64GB.even though Microsoft indicate 32Gb, because Windows 10 64bit will use 25Gb of space for the operating system alone.
