Windows 10: How can I install Windows 10 Pro from windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB

Lappy most likely came with Vista HP installed ?

 

Pretty sure it did. Question now is what Win 8.1 he purchased ?

hi, do u mean i need to download win 10 (pro or which specify pls ) fro m ur given link n make a bootable disk to install n then install this version ? but how could it get the activation keyvfrom bios didnt understand..pls clarify.. pls note i have both 7 pro and 8.1 pro genuine key. waiting for the clarification...

 

You do what I said, then you use your W7 or W8.1 to activate windows 10, you have to install the same version of W10 that you have a key for, either Home or Pro.

If you have a W7 Pro key then you install W10 Pro. etc

If you have a W8.1 Pro key then you install W10 Pro etc

If you have W7 or W8.1 Home key then you install W10 Home.

With W8.1 the key is stored in the bios, if that is the system that came with the PC, you don`t have to retrieve it, W10 will see it and self activate.

but there I see below : my current version is Enterprise but want to install 10 pro.. I should choose 10 pro right ?

my pc came with win vista home premium key (genuine). But later I purchased 8.1 pro. Now pls advise

Doesn't matter which version you're on now just use the media creation tool
Create an iso for another computer
Then have it either create a dvd installer or a usb installer
Boot to the created installation media and use the custom install
Delete all existing partitions and click install.

I would backup all personal files first.
You might also be able to save the iso to your desktop and run the setup.exe from there
But I'd still backup all personal files first to a external device.

 

Hi, And I should put the activation key when it ask right. On the installation process i never delete all the partitions. Later can i create partitions again ?? Pls confirm

I'd install without an internet connection it is twice as fast
Use I don't have a key when asked during the install you can enter the key after on your desktop.

Yes you can recreate any partitions you need or want to later.
