Windows 10: How can I install Windows 10 using the embedded product key?

After roughly 3-4 months of using Windows 11, I'm starting to despise it. I'd like to return to Windows 10, but the problem is that I'm using a laptop with the product key already installed. Is it possible to reinstall Windows 10 with the same product key?

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

The W8 key is safely embedded in the firmware.

Alphanumeric's experience is probably more to do with that particular PC rather than a general point.

As a test I've just booted my Dell with its W8 key in the firmware using the latest 20H2 install USB, as created by the MCT. It successfully found the embedded key, skipping steps 9/10 in the tutorial and went straight to step 11 'Check the I accept the license terms box'.

Make a note of the embedded W8 key just in case, but you probably won't need to enter it *Wink

I have a dell 24" AIO 7000 series computer, with embedded product key for Windows 10 HOME, 2GB hd, 16 GB Ram, running Win 10 v.1703, UEFI bios and I am trying to do a clean install. The problem is this... I have scoured the net for an answer and I never
get the actual answer to the exact question I am asking so I will try here and see what I get. I have done several clean installs on this computer which isn't really an issue. What I need to do is force the installation media to ask for my product key. I purchased
a Windows 10 PRO product key but because of the WIndows 10 HOME embedded key installation will not ask for my PRO key. I have to install HOME then upgrade to PRO every time I have done a clean install. So the question... is there a way to force install to
ask for my PRO key or to disable the embedded HOME key in my systems bios. I have not been able to find out if the latter is possible either.
