  1. How can I keep photo size when transferring from phone to laptop?

I transferred many photos from my phone to my laptop, but they have all drastically reduced in size, from say 2.8 mb to 11.4 kb. They appear as very small when I open them, and if I increase the size the quality is very poor meaning they are essentially unviewable. Why? I dragged them using two file explorer windows from DSIC to the laptop location. How can I get the photos the correct size again?

    :)
