  1. How can I know if my PC is managed by an organization?

A few months ago, I bought my PC from a company that I worked at. When I tried to re-install windows It told me that it is managed by my organization and that I can't continue / finish the installation i was able to install a new windows, but when I wanted to finish the installation / add my profile I needed permissions from the organization. I spoke with them and they told me that they removed it from their managed devices, and that it is not longer managed. then, I was able to finalize the installation. Now I want to re-install windows, and I am afraid that it might be locked again I'm not

    :)

  2. See settings managed by organization

Hello Dave, thanks for helping me

Well, it is kind of annoying and abnormal to my opinion that, as computer owners, we do not get a list of the settings managed by our organization.

I am a student that is using his private computer with two accounts, the first as my personal account, and the other as the "work or school account".
I am indeed sometime getting the "this setting is managed by your organization" message (even though I know it's not an "error"); thus, I would have liked to have an exhaustive list of all the settings that are managed by my organization without needing to check every settings page and tabs one by one.

    See settings managed by organization

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Windows does not store a list of settings managed by your organization, they would probably be listed in the among all the options in the Group Policy Editor, but there is no list of which policies are enabled separately, you would need to look through all the policies.

Please provide more information on this, are you managing PC's in a work environment or are you just using a PC and getting the 'Manage by Organization' error in your Settings app?

How can I know if my PC is managed by an organization?

Having trouble with "Some of these settings are managed by your organization"

    Hi Chaitanya4156,

The steps I have listed above are the only things that can cause the 'Organization' error in Windows, either awork or school account causes this, or a 3rd party anti-virus, or those commands should solve this, the only other thing I can suggest is to create a new user account in Windows and move all your data to that account.
