Windows 10: How can I locate all files of the same type in any drive or directory?

I want to know how I can, for example, locate ALL of the .jpg files in a directory or drive/partition. Or .txt files, or .png files, etc.Sometimes I know I saved a .txt file, but I can remember what folder it is in. When I saved it, I might have saved it with other files that I felt were relevant to whatever subject, say an essay or set of instructions that I was working on. I might remember the subject but not the title of the .txt file, or I might know what the picture was of but not the title of the .jpg. I spend hours looking for this stuff. I'd like to just be able to search in file explo

Correct Directory Location For Pictures Folder

"Now Documents, Videos etc say file location is This PC. But Pictures file location is C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures."

If we understand you correctly, the issue is that Pictures doesn't appear in the left panel under This PC. The correct location IS C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures. This is only an issue of using Step 8 in the tutorial to add it back to the list. See if this screenshot is what you want to achieve- put Pictures folder back in list on L.

To know which files are in which directory or to know the path of the files, I would suggest you to try the steps given below and check if it helps:

• 
  Press Windows + E keys together.
  
• 
  Go to This PC and select C drive.
  
• 
  Right click on any of the files.
  
• 
  Select properties and find the location of the file.

Directory Size Utility

First of all nice utility, Mindweaver!
Second of all, it's so nice to see that this section ain't dead.

I have a few questions/suggestions, maybe you'd want to see ...

• maybe you rename Get Folder button caption to something more intuitive? Add Folder, Get Folder Size, Check Folder Size or something like that?
  
• Could you add subfolder files to the right pane? (it can be a tickbox with include sub dirs)
  
• maybe you also add export list to excel?
  
• there's delete file button maybe you add delete folder button too?
  
• and finally maybe you can add UP button for directories?
