Windows 10: How can I log in/open my laptop after signing in my microsoft account without verification...

I cannot log in/open my laptop after signing in my microsoft account… Unfortunately, I didn’t know that the phone number saved on my account is my old number. Now I can’t log in/open my laptop because microsoft requires a verification code that is technically sent to my old number that I do not have access to anymore. I tried adding an alternative email active, but it says that it would take 30 days for it to be fully updated.. Does it mean that I have to wait for 30 days just to open my laptop? What should I do?

There may be several reasons why this message keeps appearing. Sometimes, this message is triggered if you are using a two-step verification in your email. We suggest that you try these methods below to resolve this concern:

• Log out and log in with your Local Account password or the Microsoft Account password again to check if this is caused by a glitch.
• If you are not using a Microsoft account to sign in, create one, and use it to sign in.
• Verify your identity on this PC. Open Settings > Accounts > Under
  Your accounts you will see a Verify your identity on this PC link > Click on
  Verify. Follow the prompts to identify your account.
