Windows 10: How can I login to my laptops administrator account windows local account without a password?

I am trying to login to my laptop to the windows account. I am trying to actually log into Microsoft but it keeps telling me that first it needs my Windows password one last time. I do not know what that password is. I cannot remember and it will not give me any options, when I look for forgot password links there are none. It will not let me reset. The only option. It gives me is to insert a disk which I don’t have one. I need help please.

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

Local Administrator account will not login

For Step 1, there was no option for requiring (or not requiring) a password.

I adjusted the account name, gave a new password, applied the change, then tried the login. That failed.

For Step 2, I created a new account, and made it an Administrator, but the login again failed.

For Step 3, the account was created, but the login failed again

.... frustrated, I re-enabled the built in Administrator account and was able to log in

I'd still like to know why these other accounts failed to login, though.

You need to boot into Safe Mode. Do this by mashing F8 when the computer is starting, right before Windows loads, until you see a bunch of options. Select "Safe Mode". It'll boot into Safe Mode, and bring you to the login screen. At the login screen, go in as "Administrator", and from there go to the control panel. In the control panel, open "users", select the account you forgot the password of, and click "remove password". Restart the computer and all will be well *Smile .
