Windows 10: How can I login to my Windows 10 laptop when it won't accept the password and the pin...

Two days ago I changed my laptop's pin windows hello and since then I have not been able to login to my laptop. The password no longer works, I cannot finish setting up my pin on the sign in page, I cannot reset the password since my only option is to use a USB flash with the password wizard and I cannot perform any actions in the advance startup as they require my laptop's password. There is only one account on the laptop. I did not change the password for the laptop, only the pin, so I have no idea why it is not working I tried all passwords I've previously used.My sign in page has the s

After Windows 10 update, signin screen won`t accept my pssword.

Sign-in screen won`t take my password after Windows 10 update on a new HP laptop. I had setup a pin login but now asks for Microsoft password which I wrote down and have used before but will not accept now.

PIN not accepting to login in windows...

welcome : What do you mean by Problem is that,.

"Even there is no option to enter the password"

So comfirm after, you try to type the PIN. You don't

see the option "Forgot my PIN" underneath the [Typing field]

but if you see the "I Forgot My PIN" option : Follow steps to reset it

To reset your PIN:

1. Open Settings.
   
2. Click Accounts.
   
3. Click Login Options.
   
4. In the PIN section, click I forgot my PIN.
   
5. Check your password and click OK.
   
6. On the next screen, create a new PIN and follow screen instructions
   
7. Restart your PC and verify that you can login with the new PIN

Widows 10 on laptop won't accept password or pin

Sorry but suggestions do not work. In answer to your questions:

I believe we are using a Local account set up to use a PIN when we installed Windows 10, We have a second laptop set up the same way and it works fine, asking for the PIN at login which it accepts and opens. The unit in question does not show "PIN" at login
but instead asks for "Password" now.

After entering the password we used when setting up Windows 10 we get the error message, "That password is incorrect. Make sure your using the password for your Microsoft account. You can always reset it at account.live.com/password/reset"

I clicked on the eye icon and the entered password appears correctly

Have tried to logon to my wife's email account on my desktop computer but that also was unsuccessful

Unfortunately the phone number we used in setting up accounts is an older house phone that cannot receive texts and, although we have a cell phone that will it's not the number on her account.

How do I get the onscreen keyboard?

I'll be grateful for any further advice you can offer as the laptop in question everything she uses and needs each day.
