Windows 10: How can I make Logitech G Hub appear as a dynamic lighting background controller?

Logitech G Hub is downloaded but windows doesnt recognize it a potential background controller app.

Big problem with Dynamic lighting

I understand you need help with regarding the Dynamic Lighting feature in Windows 11.

Do you have the Logitech's G Hub installed into your PC? If not yet, kindly install it and try adjusting the brightness settings from there.

If in any case that you're already using the Logitech G Hub, kindly try setting it as the highest priority in the Dynamic Lighting settings:

1. Open Settings > Go to Personalization > Go to Dynamic Lighting

2. Click on Background light control, then see if you'll see something with "Logitech" in it and drag it up top of the list.

As a Logitech keyboard user, I'm sure you, like me, will also use Logitech's G Hub to customize the light effects of Logitech devices. I'm also using a GPW mouse and POWERPLAY.

This means Windows Dynamic Light Effect is on:







This means that the device will not use Windows Dynamic light effect at this time, but you need to customize the light effect in the G Hub:





So it seems to me that maybe the solution to this problem is:

1. Turn off Dynamic Light Effect for Windows, as it may conflict with Logitech's software.

2. Download a G HUB and customize the light effect manually:

Microsoft may be hoping that more users can use Windows system Settings to achieve control of RGB, but in fact, I think Logitech's own G HUB has more dynamic light effect options.

Logitech G413 can control the lighting with the built in function button+lightkey(F7) when "Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices" is toggled "On" but cannot control the keyboard lighting with the function button when the "Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices" is toggled "Off".

The lighting on this Logitech G413 was working fine before the "Dynamic Lighting" feature was introduced!

A few days ago I thought the backlight on my Logitech G413 burned out, as, out of nowhere, the backlights on all the keys stopped working. After plugging in the Logitech G413 keyboard into a non-widows laptop, I saw that the lighting features worked just fine there.

I then sourced the root cause of the issue to the new "Dynamic Lighting" feature. If I turn it off, the backlight on the Logitech G413 keyboard does not function at all. But if I turn it on, I do get the backlight, but only when I am logged in. When the laptop it locked, the Logitech G413 backlight turns off and there is no separate toggle switch to address this functionality.
