  1. How can I make Microsoft Clipchamp use a different drive while actively editing a video?

This question goes for any program that temporarily stores files while working, like Photoshop or video editing software. The problem is that my SSD only has <10gb of space, but my HDD has hundreds free. Programs like clipchamp store the active files in the C: drive until I am finished and able to export the file to the D: and delete the project in Clipchamp. With so little space, I cannot edit large videos without the C drive running out of space and crashing my computer. How can I make clipchamp store active files in the D drive instead?I would purchase a larger SSD but cannot afford one.

    :)

  2. "Edit With Clipchamp" and Open With Clipchamp no longer properly open the piece of media in Clipchamp

    Hello TreyDavis3,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community, it's an honour to help you.

I understand that you are unable to open media files in Clipchamp, based on your description, it seems that you have also tried some options, very much agree with your troubleshooting solution, in order to better help you, I would like to know more about it with you:

    • In order to help you better, I'd like to know more about it. What is the format of the media file you tried to open?
    • Does Clipchamp give you any error messages or prompts when you try to open a file via File Explorer or when you open a media file?
    • Do you have any other video editing software installed that may be affecting file associations?

Based on your description it seems that you are using the client version of Clipchamp, (if my understanding is wrong, you are welcome to correct me at any time) we suggest that you try to log in with the web version of Clipchamp first to see if you are able to open the files:Quick and easy video editor | Clipchamp

So that we can troubleshoot if it's an account issue.

Based on your description, it seems that you have already sought help from Clipchamp, if you haven't tried the Clipchamp support options below, you can also refer to this article to post your feedback to Clipchamp:

"Edit With Clipchamp" and Open With Clipchamp no longer properly open the piece of media in Clipchamp

Same issue here. When I right-click on a video in my file explorer and click "edit with clipchamp." It will load the clipchamp app but will not auto load my video into the editor. So I have to now find the video once clipchamp opens up.

  4. How can I make Microsoft Clipchamp use a different drive while actively editing a video?

Muted audio video does not mute audio IN CLIPCHAMP!!! Can't select it in options below

    Hi Grant,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with muting audio in Clipchamp. It sounds like you've tried some of the methods suggested by the web search results, such as detaching audio and using the mute button. However, it seems that these methods are not working for some video file types, such as H.265, 4K 30fps, 24mm, EIS, HQ+, 48KHz, 320kps.

According to the Clipchamp support page, some video formats may not be fully compatible with the online editor. This could be the reason why you're experiencing issues with muting audio in Clipchamp. The support page suggests that you can try converting your video to a different format before editing it in Clipchamp. You can use Clipchamp's video converter tool to do this.

It is suggested that you send this issue back to the Clipchamp support team and hopefully it can be resolved. How to get in touch with Clipchamp support - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
