How can I make sure a Directory in Windows File Explorer remains 'Music' or 'Video'


It is very annoying that Windows 10 is changing dynamically and WRONGLY the type of folder in Windows File Explorer.


Even if I launch Windows explorer as administrator it does NOT take into account my Customize preference.


This has tremendous impact in lowering my productivity to check my Music or Video files

Windows Explorer - not 'autorefeshing' file/directory listings

Windows 10 Pro.

This just started today on my office workstation. When I'm in Windows Explorer and create a new file (say I compress a directory into a compressed file, using "send to...", the file doesn't show up in the directory listing until I hit F5 to refresh. Same
if I rename a file. The old name remains until I hit F5.

First, pin File Explorer to the task bar. You can then click and drag a folder (such as Videos) and drop it on the File Explorer icon to pin it to File Explorer. The list of pinned folders can be accessed by right-clicking on the File Explorer icon. Select a folder from the list and you will open File Explorer at that folder. This is the same list of pinned folders that you will see in File Explorer's Quick Access.
