I am trying to look for a way to have my laptop automatically lock after a certain period of time without having it go to sleep. I searched the settings for such a feature and could not find one. So, is there a way to have my laptop automatically lock after a certain time period without having it go to sleep?

    PC goes to sleep automatically.

    Hi Hamza,

Conflicts with the power settings is one of the possible reasons why your computer goes to sleep automatically. For us to assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?

    • Open Control Panel by right click on
      Start
      Button.
    • In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click
      Troubleshooting
      .

How to automatically lock a PC at a certain time on Windows 10?

    Hello Rex,

Thanks for the update on the above post.

Change settings that are currently unavailable. Enter the administrator password if prompted.
