Windows 10: How can I modify download locations of apps from the Microsoft store?

I want to change the download location of an app I downloaded that only opens through the Microsoft store, and I would also like to add a shortcut of said app to my desktop. I've looked everywhere and I don't see any way to do so.

Method 1:

Make sure that “Allow apps to use my location” option is enabled. Follow these steps to enable it.

1. Press the “Windows + W”.

2. Then type “Allow apps to use my location” without quotes in the search box and hit ENTER.

3. Turn on “Allow apps to use my location”.

4. Then turn on “Let apps use my location” option.



Method 2:

Please disable proxy, if you are using proxy connection.

1. Click the Gearbox at the top right corner in internet explorer.
2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
4. Uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.
5. Click OK to save and close the window.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
