Windows 10: How can I only edit the file on one computer if it is not edited on other computers

I want to put a file on 4 computers in the network. How can I only edit the file on one computer if it is not edited on other computers? And how can the file not be lost if two computers are turned off?Thank you for your help.

Edit metadata autocomplete list for pictures/music files

I cannot find a way to delete/edit the autocomplete list displayed when editing the metadata on pictures. I get a list of previous entries (some of which are just plain junk) and would like to delete those as suggestions. I tried the steps with the following
link and did not have any success. I do not have a AUTOCOMPLETE listing under "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer".

Unable to edit Hosts file

Hi,

We would like to ask how are you trying to edit the host file on your computer? Is there any chance that you are doing it via Notepad as administrator? If not, you can try doing the steps below:

• Press the Windows key and search for Notepad.
• Once Notepad is available, right-click and select Run as administrator.
• In your Notepad, Click File > Open
  and search for the following file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
• You can edit the changes as normal
• Click File > Save to save your changes.

Copy and paste/Editing

Upgraded my computer and it had windows 10. Have problems copy/pasting and editing my listings on ebay. I can do it with my older computer with windows 7, have to use both. Any suggestions on a fix?
