Windows 10: How can I open apps on the main screen?

I don't always use my seconde screen. However if I close an app it will open on the same screen as it closes. That wouldn't be a problem except for the fact I don't always use my second screen.Now I always have to turn on the second screen then adjust the app windows and shut down the second monitor. That is anoying.Can't windows open an app on the same screen ONLY when that screen is actually ON ??Or is there a way to just always open apps on the main screen?

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Have Start screen open with “All Apps” list already opened?

Version 1607 Build 14393.105 does that, click Start and the full Apps list is scrollable.

I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
Go figure!
