    How can I open decrypt BitLocker-encrypted pdf/word files in another PC?


    Hello Microsoft professionals,In the past, I encrypted all my drives with BitLocker, and later I decrypted all of them by unlocking making the BitLocker off. However, all my pdf/word files remain encrypted and can't be opened on other PCs operating with Windows 10. I am a researcher and can't open all my manuscripts to keep working. How can I permanently decrypt all my files, please? Can you please help me if there is any way get my files permanently decrypted?I really appreciate any help you can provide.Desalegn, Researcher

    Bitlocker Stuck Decrypting

    @rinconmike For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'. Another option is to use software.

    If so, you have encrypted your files with Bitlocker, which is the encryption utility in Windows 10

    Go to your Microsoft Account online and check there for your Bitlocker Decryption Key -

    not able to decrypt bitlocker files on new pc

    files encrypted using bitlocker on my previous PC are not being decrypted on my new pc

    the files are my external hdd.
