Windows 10: How can I open pictures without an interface or program opening up?

Is there a picture viewer that I can use like QuickTime picture viewer? Where it only opens the photo and not a whole program. Sometimes I like to open picture but on my new computer I don’t have QuickTime. Any photos program I open shows all the buttons and ways to edit and all of that. I just want to be able to open single pictures without all of that. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

However, please let us know:

• May I know the default application that is set to open pictures?
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer?

It could be possible that the application set to open pictures is not working properly. If Photos app is set as the default application to open
pictures, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.

Please give steps to open the paths to Program Files

If you want to open File Explorer to your C: drive without any registry tweaks, you'll need to do so from a shortcut you create.

1. Open File Explorer to This PC.
2. Right-click Winndows (C and select Create Shortcut:
   
   
   
3. Clock OK in the altert dialog:
   
   
   
4. And you'll have a shortcut on your Desktop:

  Which app are you using to open pictures?
  
• 
  What is the exact error message you are getting?
  
• 
  What is the file format of the pictures?
  

I suggest you to use Windows Photo Viewer to open this file and check, if it helps. I would also suggest you to make Windows Photo Viewer as the default program to open pictures and check, if it works. You may also try opening the same picture
using Paint and check, if you are able to open without any issues.

Refer the Microsoft article to set a program as the default application.
