Windows 10: How can I prevent a large copyinng task from impairing other PC functions?

I frequently have to copy files that are between 30GB and 300 GB. When the copying is in progress, many of the normal PC functions do not operate properly.


I presume that the large coping task is hogging much of the PC's resources impairing much else.


Is there some way in which I can limit the resources that will go to the copying task and leave enough to do the copying even if it slows down the copying?


Some of these copies take 12 hours or more and as a practical matter I am without a computer during that time. Not a great situation.

Windows 10 for Visually impaired

As per the issue description your girlfriend is visually impaired and can't see the icons and you want black color as the background color. Here are the steps which might help you to fix the issue.

• Press Windows key + X.
• Select Control Panel from the list.
• Select large icons under view by option.
• Click on personalize.
• Select any of the theme under High Contrast theme as per your interest.

In order to enlarge the taskbar icons you may refer to the steps provided below and see if it helps.

• Right click on the task bar.
• Click on Properties.
• Uncheck the box stating "Use small taskbar buttons" under taskbar tab.

Preventing access to modern app


Ive been tasked with preventing the children from accessing instagram. I've got it listed in my windows hosts file and internet options/security/restricted site but the windows 10 app is still allowing access. Any suggestions other then deleting app which can just be reinstalled?
