    How can I prevent hardware from being uninstalled automatically from XP?


    I have some old mini DV tapes which I wish to copy and edit. I downloaded Canon installation media on an old, of-line PC runninng XL I have previously ruined the firewire output of four other cameras with Windows 10. The installation seemed to work OK but when I start to capture video using either Windows Media or Video Capture the hardware is automatically uninstalled. If I deleted the uninstaller from the camera software file should it solve the problem, or is there another method?

    How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

    I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

    Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

    Any suggestions? *Confused How can I prevent hardware from being uninstalled automatically from XP? :confused:

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
