Windows 10: How can I prevent rebooting my machine to reset custom cursor? Windows 10

So I made myself a custom cursor scheme but I find it very annoying to have to select it every time I reboot my machine. I know that I can replace the default files in C:\Windows\Cursors but I'm not sure which cursors do I have to replace to make it work. Can anyone tell me or give me an easier way of doing this. Thank you.

Please keep all the rainbow color looping as they are. It is now perfect. The black border is the best color to use as the outline. It brings a good contrast, making sure that all the colors appears well.







As a reminder, please keep in mind that this cursor set must be suitable for Windows 10 - 19H1 or above, so you must include all the 17 cursor roles in the same set.

As for the animation steps and the number of colors used, make sure that all the 17 cursor roles have all the same colors in the same order and the same animation steps playing the animation at the same speed. Good luck Hopachi and thank you for making this cursor set on my behalf.

 

Custom cursors reset after reboot

I applied the old Windows Vista/7 cursors and everytime I reboot it uses the Windows 10 sets even though it's still shows Windows Aero is applied. Why? Is there a cache or something I need to deal with?

How to install:
Extract/place the cursor files from zip in the cursor folder (usually C:\Windows\Cursors) then got to mouse pointer settings and browse for the installed files after selecting the working and busy states. Apply or even save the new scheme under a new name, to easily switch back between different cursors via the drop-down theme list:
