Windows 10: How can I prevent 'Welcome to Office' pop up taking focus?

Hi, I'm having a bit of an issue with the latest update of Windows 10 (v1909), whereby it has become very insistent in it's need to tell me all about the Office programs. I keep getting the following pop up and it's taking focus away from whatever I'm doing, even if full screen playing a game or similar.

I've tried uninstalling the actual 'Office' application that this seems to be, but within 10 minutes it's back and interrupting whatever I'm doing.

I've turned off notifications for it, it's not one of the programs in the start-up in Task Manager. I've tried signing in with my hotmail account, in an attempt to get it to stop taking focus, but now I just get presented with the small handful of files that I happen to have saved to my drive over the years instead of the sign in screen above.

A google search doesn't yield any obvious solutions. Anyone had this issue? Or know how to solve it?

Office Technical Preview Office

MS doesn't take any feedback or suggestions about Office 2016 at the moment, it is listed under "Non-feedback Product" category:




On the Connect homepage you can check the lists of products accepting bug reports and / or suggestions, Office is not on those lists:

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Pop-up blocker helps user to prevent pop-ups from displaying in a user's Web browser.

Follow these steps to block pop-ups in Internet Explorer:

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Open the gear icon at the upper right of the Internet Explorer.
• Select Internet Options.
• Under Privacy tab, put a check mark on Turn on Pop-up Blocker.
• Click OK.

Follow these steps to block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Open More (icon with three dots) and select Settings.
  
• Click View advanced settings.
• Turn Block pop-ups to On.
