I have multiple monitors. Sometimes I do not want to run all the monitors. Generally 100% of the time my monitor which is set as my PRIMARY DISPLAY is on. But the 2nd, and 3rd monitors may either be turned off, or selected to a different input from another computer. What I am noticing is that Windows is moving apps from the primary display to the secondary or third monitor even when they are off. So what happens is I come back to work after using a different computer, and it launches applications or has moved applications to a monitor which isnt even turned on. This is hugely frustrating as I

Windows 10 Not Detecting 2nd Monitor

this recommendation is useless. I followed every step and the troubleshooter said no problems detected. When I had Windows 8.1 I was able to simply plug in my monitor (HannsG 28") via micro HDMI port and it was able to detect it. But Windows 10 does not detect
my second monitor. The system just does not see it.

Thank you for the update on the issue.

If you need to disable auto detection of the drivers then you may try the steps provided below and see if it helps.

• Press Windows key+ X.
• Click on System.
• Click on Advanced System settings.
• Select Hardware from the top navigation menu.
• Click on Device Installation Settings.
• Select No let me choose what to do.
• Uncheck the box stating Automatically get the device app and info provided by your device manufacture

Preventing access to modern app

Ive been tasked with preventing the children from accessing instagram. I've got it listed in my windows hosts file and internet options/security/restricted site but the windows 10 app is still allowing access. Any suggestions other then deleting app which can just be reinstalled?
